Music education in school is about more than just finding out if your child is musically talented or letting your child’s brain rest from a day of math and science. Teaching music to children helps open your child’s brain to understand and retain information about other subjects and ultimately increases your child’s cognitive skills. Studies have found that children who learn music have better grades throughout school than children who do not study music.
